Badass University LLC (“BU,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates badassuniversity.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our website, contact us about BU services, or subscribe to BU updates.

Information You Give Us
Depending on the form or service you use, you may provide your first and last name, email address, phone number, service interest or subject, and the message you choose to send. Newsletter signup forms request an email address. We use the information you provide to respond to your inquiry, manage your subscription, or help with the service you request.
Please do not include sensitive health, financial, identification, or other confidential information in a general website form. Contact BU first if a request requires a more appropriate way to share that information.
Website and Usage Information
Wix hosts the BU website and supplies its Wix contact forms. Wix and the technologies used on the site may receive information such as an IP address, browser and device details, pages visited, referring pages, access times, and interactions with website content.
We use Google Analytics for website statistics and Meta Pixel for optional PageView measurement. These tools may receive technical identifiers and information about visits. See our Cookie Policy for their purposes and the website controls.
How We Use Information
We use information to respond to inquiries; communicate about coaching, workshops, speaking, events, and requested services; deliver requested BU updates; operate, protect, troubleshoot, measure, and improve the website; and maintain records reasonably needed for service, administrative, security, financial, and legal purposes.
Newsletters
BU uses beehiiv to manage newsletter subscriptions and deliver requested updates. Information submitted to a BU newsletter signup form is used to manage the subscription. BU’s handling of that information is described in this Policy; beehiiv’s privacy notice also describes processing it carries out for its own purposes.
BU receives newsletter delivery and engagement information, including recorded opens, clicks, and unsubscribe activity, to understand newsletter performance. Recorded engagement may be affected by email software and automated activity.
You can unsubscribe using the link provided in a BU marketing email. We may retain a suppression record to continue honoring that choice. Unsubscribing from marketing emails does not prevent a response to an inquiry or a necessary communication about a service you requested.
Providers and Sharing
We use providers that support the services described here, including Wix, beehiiv, Google, and Meta. They receive information needed for the functions they provide. Meta receives the optional website measurement described below only after Marketing acceptance.
We may also disclose information when you direct us to do so, when required by law or legal process, or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, or security. An independent third-party website or service has its own privacy practices; its notice applies to its independent processing.
Statistics and Marketing Choices
Google Analytics remains active for website statistics, including when you select Reject Marketing. Google advertising consent signals remain denied under the BU website configuration.
Meta Pixel PageView measurement loads only after you select Accept Marketing. You can reopen Cookie Settings to review or change that choice. A change applies prospectively. If Meta has already loaded on the current page, rejecting Marketing does not undo the information already sent; reload the page to apply the rejected choice to a fresh page load.
The website’s Marketing choice does not unsubscribe you from email or control an independent website you visit through an external link.
Retention and Security
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this Policy, including providing requested services, honoring preferences, resolving disputes, and meeting applicable recordkeeping requirements. Retention varies by the type of record, its purpose, and the provider involved. We do not promise one fixed period for every record.
No online transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Please contact us if you have a concern about information you have shared with BU.
Intended Audience
BU provides coaching, workshops, and educational resources designed for adults. If you have a concern about personal information submitted to BU, contact dr.d@badassuniv.com so we can review and address the request.
Your Requests
You may ask about, correct, or request deletion of information associated with you by emailing dr.d@badassuniv.com. We may need information to locate the relevant records and verify the request before disclosing or changing personal information. Some information may need to be retained for applicable legal or recordkeeping reasons. Additional rights may apply depending on your location and applicable law.
External Services
The website links to the BU merchandise store on Bonfire and to social platforms. Transactions and activity on those independent services are subject to their own terms and privacy notices, including Bonfire’s Privacy Policy.
